Scratch and Peck's Poultry Grit is made of insoluble crushed quartzite or granite, grit is necessary for the healthy development of the gizzard, a muscle that aids in digestion and allows for maximum nutrient benefits from poultry feed.

Directions for Use: Starter grit is recommended for layer chicks from hatching to 8 weeks, broiler chicks from hatching to 4 weeks, and ducklings from hatching to 4 weeks. Sprinkle Starter Grit directly on feed for the first few days and then offer free choice in a separate container for birds to consume as they need. Always provide ample clean, fresh water.
