Is Power Thaw Ice Melt safe for pets?

If applied per the bag directions, the product is safe for pets if there is not prolonged exposure. 

Here are the application instructions:

For best results, remove snow prior to application. Spread at the rate of 2-4 oz. (1/4 - 1/2 cup) per sq. yd. Remove slush and water to prevent penetration of porous areas and cracks in the concrete, as continual thawing and freezing action can cause damage to poor quality concrete.
